Psalms 78:22-23
"Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in His salvation: Though He had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven."
The children of Israel did not understand and realize how much God loved them. He saved them from all plans of their enemies and always brought them to salvation. He supplied all their physical and spiritual needs at every point. Still, God noticed murmuring and dissatisfaction in their camp.
All our needs are within the purview of God’s command. He has always been good to the Israelites in all things, but they did not 100% believe in what His power and wisdom can do. They refused to trust in God who opened up the doors of heaven for them. They forgot all His wonders. They turned back to God only when God culled their attention by any means!
Brethren, God has never been interested in our suffering or lack. He is more than able to show us ways to get our supply; which is part of His covenant to us. God has never been a covenant breaker, but we are like the Israelites. Let us refrain from all kinds of murmuring, but give appreciation and honor for what He has done. There is always grace for us for our daily supply and need. As God was the Shepherd of the life of David; He is also yours. Confess today that God is your Shepherd and so shall HE be, in Jesus Name. Amen.
