Isaiah 42:7
"To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in the darkness out of the prison house"
Any life not lived for Christ is in the “prison” and equally any life lived unto self is in “slavery”. There are physical and spiritual prisons. It is not good to be in any imprisonment, but the spiritual prison is worst than the physical prison.
The Bible passage is an imminent promise of God to those that really want to be free. Any one that is physically blind is in the prison of darkness. There are so many causes of blindness that medical researchers are still working on that may not be found. Such people in such situation will live in perpetual darkness inside the prison house of blindness, except God intervenes.
If any one is physically blind, he/she is physically incapacitated and such represents darkness in the prison. Likewise, any one that is spiritually blind, he/she is spiritually hindered from the light and the truth of the gospel. Such people are in the dark, until their eyes are opened by grace. Even though, there is light around any blind persons, still they cannot see until their eyes are opened. They are like the prisoners locked up behind the bars in the physical. They will not be out until the doors of the prison house are opened. As we move into a new month; by this time of tomorrow, may all that represents prison house be over in our lives, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for your promises to open the eyes of the blind, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for all your promises to open all the doors of all that represent prison in our lives, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, open the eyes of my understanding, in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, as I am going into the new month, let my prison season be over, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, let there be light all around my darkness after you have opened my eyes, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, for the rest of my life, let my eyes be opened in Jesus Name.
7) Father, as the new month comes, remove all that might cause blindness for me in the physical and spiritual, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Have a blessed and wonderful day!
