Matthew 1: 20 & 24
20 "But while he thought of these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou Son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 24 - Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him : his wife"
Joseph was at the cross road and in deep thoughts about the news concerning Mary. When he did not know what to do, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him for divine direction. The fear Joseph had about Mary was real, because she was pregnant with the power of the Holy Spirit, not with the power of nature. Very scary! However, with God, nothing shall be impossible.
Whatever represents the cross road of life this season, God will send your own angel. Joseph had direction from God, because he was a just and righteous man. God will not allow such a man to live in fear. He (Joseph ) was never in doubt to trust the message and the messenger of God. He reversed his decision to put Mary away in shame.
The first Christmas was a time of confidence in the power of what only God can do, regardless the fear around Joseph and Mary. Nothing is too fearful for God to handle. God trusted Joseph and Mary to be the earthly parents of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us develop good christian attitudes and characters that God can entrust us with His everlasting Glory. God is sending a message to every one reading today not to be afraid. FEAR NOT, God Has spoken concerning you. Your story and stage in life will change with this Christmas and New Year 2016, in Jesus Name. Amen. PRAISE GOD!!!!!
