Exodus 12:2
"This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: It shall be the first month of the year to you"
We are still in the mood of New Year. Happy New Year again and again.
As the first month of the year was always significant to the Jews in many ways. So it has been to many people. The first month was the beginning of the process of deliverance for the Israelites.
They received instructions as how to go about the first passover. God remembered His covenant and prepared the grounds for them to get out of bondage.
The beginning of the year is always important in the lives of people; believers and unbelievers whereby they make New Year resolutions towards immediate future. Determine to be free this year from all things that could ensnare you. Seek God and commit some quality time in a day as quiet time. We need God more than ever before in this our unpredictable world.
It is not a bad practice to have new year’s resolution at the beginning of the year like this, however, let us take it serious. No matter what the circumstances during the year, please follow through your resolution. Quit what is causing stress ; draining you from achieving your goals. Live healthy lifestyles from now. A positive approach with periodic assessment is the key to achievable resolutions. God Has granted us twenty four hours in a day to get planned and organized. They are enough to be what God wants us to be. Assess where you are now and have a vision for future. God is waiting for your vision. Lay it before Him and work under His direct direction. Amen.
