John 6:11
"And Jesus took the loaves ; and when He Had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would."
Jesus did not despise the small quantity of the loaves, because the size of the provision did not matter as the appreciation for it. When you express appreciation in small things, you have the blessing of them becoming big. He took the small provision, bless God with thanks before distributing them to the people through the disciples.
Giving thanks ahead of any requests and challenges always open doors for abundance of blessings. Jesus gave thanks; knowing fully well that His Father will not sit in heaven to see HIS Son suffer for shortage of food for the people. God answered HIM with miracle of overflowing surplus, because He put God first. He had more than enough for the occasion and the day.
God can do all things and would not allow you/us to fail. Jesus relied on the supernatural power of thanksgiving in everything. Giving thanks can remove shame and reproach. God will not forsake our attitude of thanksgiving. God pays attention to thanksgiving of David and he always enjoyed the backing of God, even in difficult circumstances. When we are able to give thanks in everything, we are in other words saying that God is in charge of the affairs of our lives. Thanksgiving puts God first. Thank God for your mountains, valley and wilderness. HE is more than able to see you through the rough times. Praise HIM.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for your incredible greatness in my life, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for your blessings from the beginning of this year, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, thank you for your marvelous mercy upon my life, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, thank you for giving me victory over the battle I can see and those I cannot see, in Jesus Name.
5) Lord, thank you your divine intervention in my mountain, valley and wilderness experience, in Jesus Name.
6) Almighty God, let this month of thanksgiving open special miracles for special thanksgiving for my family, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, remove shame from my life and let me receive fresh glory, in Jesus Name. Amen.
