John 11:41
"Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus Lifted up His eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me"
What is thanksgiving to God? By my own humble definition, Thanksgiving to God, is an applied and powerful spiritual force that is capable of moving the hands and activating the mind of God. It could also be a powerful tool to seek and knock the gate of heaven for anything. Our Lord Jesus Christ used this tool to move heaven to come to HIS side.
The situation before Jesus was the death of Lazarus and HE addressed the situation with two major processes. First, Jesus Lifted up His eyes unto God. Second, Jesus spoke the words of gratitude to God, calling and thanking the Father in advance. These two were high attitude of reference and extreme faith in God by Jesus.
Though prayer works, but thanking God in advance works faster. Why? Because thanksgiving to God is pleasing to HIM. Thanksgiving is a proof that faith is on the line. The fact is that faith honors God and God honors faith. The Bible says in Psalms 92:1 that it is a good thing. There is mystery in thanksgiving that no one can explain. Brethren, let us take gratitude to God and man as an important part of our lifestyle. Thanks Living life pays off. Amen.
