Matthew 12:20
"A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgement unto victory."
Yesterday, we touched on the bruised reed. Today, it shall be about the smoking flax; which represent dying flame of fire. The Bible passage above is an assurance that there is a promise of victory for us and judgement for the wicked. When a situation tries to bring one down, please do not flow with such situation. Speak against every contrary circumstances that want to break you or quench the fire of God’s glory in your lives.
When you do not confront the contrary. You will not conquer the contrary. Do not run away from the contrary. Goliath became the contrary in the life of David and was confronted with little efforts but with great power of God. Judgement was served on Goliath and victory given to David. The Glory and power of divine fire upon the life of David was not quenched. It resulted in glory and victory was recorded not only for David, but for his family, generation and the whole nation of Israel.
When Jesus says it, the heaven is backing it up. Your smoking flax will never ever be quenched and your bruised reeds shall not be broken until Jesus will send forth judgement unto victory. Until someone reading this devotional is victorious your bruised reed and smoking flax shall be under the watch of our Lord Jesus Christ for total judgement against enemy and victory for us. Amen.
