Matthew 23:23
"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgement, mercy and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. "
The scribes had the knowledge of the law in almost all legal matters. They had control on how landed properties were handled. They were the ones the people looked up to as what law of the land to follow in all subject matters including the spiritual. Every established community ; however big or small had a scribe.
On the other hand, the Pharisees were a group of people who believed in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, but by following the legal traditions of men rather than following sound Biblical principles. The Pharisees were also known as the legalists. They followed the scribes to the letters even when there are contradictions; rather than following Jesus.
Besides paying the tithes on all their increases, the Scribes and the Pharisees still lack a number of more important Christians values and nature. There is need for us to live a balanced life and not just good in one area and not in others. Let no man but Christ be our point of reference. Jesus should be our perfect example that lived an exemplary life till the end. Jesus was never for a time be weary doing the will of God the Father. He did it to the point of total surrender for the sake of mankind. Amen. Jesus lived a total life for God, not leaving any chance for Satan in any form. Amen.

1) Father, thank you for another new day of a new month, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, open my eyes to know and do the weightier matters, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, forgive me of every omission of weightier matters, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, strength me concerning weightier matters, in Jesus Name.
5) Abba Father, let the weightier matters answer and favor me, in Jesus Name. Amen.
6) Father, I will not experience woe in my life and family, in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, let me have total peace under all weightier matters, in Jesus Name.
