1 Samuel 7: 9-10
"And Samuel took a suckling Lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the Lord: and Samuel cried unto the Lord for Israel; and the Lord heard him. (Samuel)- 10) And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomforted them; and they were smitten before Israel."
The center of this series was the sacrifice of thanksgiving that Samuel offered unto the Lord, ahead of victory. Despite the sophistication and the great number of the Philistines, our God is bigger and stronger than them. The sacrifice preceded Samuel’s cry and God instantly showed up with thunder and in thunder.
Whatever may be trying to invade your life or domain, let God see your sacrifice of thanksgiving come up to HIM and HE will respond accordingly. The Lord heard Samuel’s prayers and accepted his offering immediately; thanking God in advance ; and thus standing upon the power of God for the offering.
God always respond to our sacrifice in faith not in fear. Samuel added a sacrifice to his prayer with just a small suckling Lamb and God wasted no time to arise for him and the Israelites in a big way. Just a little quality time spent before God in thanksgiving goes a long way into our spiritual life and future. Amen.
