Luke 15:20
"And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him"
Next sub series will address the spiritual aspect and lesson of the above Bible passage, phrase “And had compassion, and ran”
Stay tuned for “3) Fell on his neck, and kissed him.”
The prodigal son still remained a son, even in his mess. In the same sense, we still remain children of the Most High in our follies. As the father had compassion for his son, so God Has compassion for us. The father ran to welcome the son, not to encourage his behavior but to display love for the lost that was found.
God is always waiting for us to take steps of faith and see how God will renew His love for us. No one is excepted to go to hell fire. Our soul is more important than our sins to God. HE loves us but hates our sins. We are made in the image of God and not in the image of our sins. We have unique identity in God through Jesus Christ.
Our character should not define our identity, we should allow our identity to define and drive our character. However, if we are not watchful, the devil will define us as who we are not. There is still time for us to repent and purse, stop and return into the loop of God, without wavering. The prodigal son got his acts together and put away his own flesh and returned home. True compassion does not waste time to accept genuine acceptance. Praise God!!!
