“FOR A SEASON”. Part II : Thursday April 25

1 Peter 1:6

"Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:"

It is always season of joy that will follow one who has God with him/her in any situation. Apostle Peter mentioned the joy the Apostles experienced in the works of gospel and the expectation for the future. Having joy is a matter of how you respond to issues of life. Joy is relative to living life of peace. No matter your situation at the moment, joyful or otherwise, do not allow it to dictate your future. Again, as a reminder, God works with us in every season if we allow HIM.

In actual fact, the situation with the Apostles at that time was nothing great, yet they greatly rejoiced and focused on the future for better seasons. They work on how to mitigate against all sorrows and shame. Rejoicing is a matter of inward peace of mind displayed outwardly.

Let us stand out of the Christian crowd from today and have cause to rejoice, though we may be in heaviness of manifold trials and temptations. God is with us in all of these things and always on duty for our sake. Lean on God. Trust HIM more than any man and wait with patience of hope and your season of rejoicing shall continue. Amen.
