2 Corinthians 12:8-9
"8) For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9) And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me"
Paul besought the Lord for the thorns in his flesh which was said to be the works of Satan. This will unquestionably hinder the inspiration of Paul, who was captured by grace. The purpose or the thorns was to discourage him. Thorns of flesh was an affliction against Paul, but it was sent to spiritually benefit Paul; so as not to take glory in all of his achievements.
God did not answer Paul, because grace was in stock for him to carry him through. Grace carries one through the rough times of life. Without the thorns that God allowed in the life of Paul, grace may not be mentioned in sufficiency for him. The thorns made Paul to pray in earnest and until he got answer from God. We must pray until God responds one way or the other. Amen.
God is a merciful God. He answers our prayers appropriately and we cannot question God about the nature of HIS response. He answers us with lot of grace if only we can listen to HIM. Stay up in place of prayer. With every supplication to God, there is grace to show up. Remember, we have the God of all grace. 1 Peter 5:10. That is WHO our God is. Amen.
