Acts 9:13-15
13) “Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he had done to thy saints at Jerusalem : 14) And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15) But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way : for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
The response of Ananias to the Lord was immaterial, because The Lord Had already made up His mind regarding the unstoppable glory that Paul would carry. God Had already made assignments ready for Paul; to bear His Name before both the Jews and Gentiles, the kings and indeed the whole of Israel. Paul needed such a huge touch of the Lord to accomplish his assignments, hence the need of Ananias.
The name of Jesus is critical to the shining of any glory. In the encounter with the Lord, the name of Christ was put upon him. No wonder, Paul had more kingdom revelation that many apostles did not have. The name of Jesus is the standard to win souls and access the glory of God.
Brethren, the glory that God Has hands in is unstoppable no matter what Ananias’s opinions were. Yes, Paul wrath much havoc in Damascus, God stopped him to have an unusual experience with HIM. Prepared him for the long assignment and use him to perform miracles. It is my prayer that the Acts of the Apostles should be repeated in our generation, to the glory of God, in Jesus Name.
