John 20:19 NKJV
“Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you”. “
Immediately after the crucifixion, on that Friday that was good, the Apostles scattered, but later re assembled and were hidden because they were sore troubled. Their doors were shut, in a lock down manner for safety, because the Jews and other unbelievers were after the Apostles and other followers. In our days it is not out of place to remain indoors to keep safe against the war of unseen disease. In actual fact, we are on lock down and is only the power of God can break it. Lock down is broken, in Jesus Name. Amen.
There is a pandemic of disease named Covid- 19 which has brought fear to the whole world, not just the Christians. It has no respect for geographical boundaries, race, status or gender. The leaders of every nation are all working round the clock seeking for solution. Fears seem to overwhelm what Jesus can do, but not true. In the above Bible passage, Jesus suddenly appeared in the middle of their confusion and peace followed.
Brethren, the coming of Jesus into your affairs will make the difference. No matter how pandemic the circumstances might be. In every storm that may catch up with any one who is a child of God, Jesus is always there as the refuge. You cannot be hopeless in any situation. Surrender all to Jesus and He would step in to proclaim peace. Amen.
