Acts 12:7
“Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, (Peter) and a light shone in the prison; and he (the angel) struck Peter on the side and raised him ( Peter) up, saying “Arise quickly!” And his (Peter) chains fell off his (Peter’s) hands.”
The “LIGHT” in the darkness was with the angel on assignment and a light shone where there was darkness. Angel on errand for Peter, proved the presence of God. No iron doors could stop God and no amount of military guards could stop God on the move for divine intervention. The angel of the Lord gained entrance to the prison and went straight for Peter, regardless the security in place.
The angel had no time to waste. Peter was fast asleep; hence he was smitten to awake from his sleep. He was lifted up and requested him to arise quickly for his escape from death. It was an unexpected divine intervention for Peter. The God that sent an angel was unstoppable, hence the angel became unstoppable. Invariably, Peter became the rock unstoppable by Herod.
With fervent prayers ; God is always ready to intervene for us. Prayers invoke God’s divine intervention. Whenever we are faced with uncertainties of life like we have in the world now: with Covid 19 in the world. Since there is no remedy or way out, God is our last resort. HE is our God and He is in heaven looking at all our efforts and struggles. Like God showed up for the Israelites in the book of Exodus and for Peter in the New Testament, He will show up for us, in Jesus Name. Amen.
