Luke 19:4-5
4“And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him: (Jesus) for He (Jesus) was to pass that way. 5) “And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up, and Saw him, and Said unto him, Zacchaeus, made haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.”
In the Bible days, many people made efforts to meet Jesus but were not as privileged as Zacchaues. Are you desperate like Zacchaues? Very few got the extent of the dimensions that provoked the abiding visitation by Jesus. He outran every one and still could not get to Jesus. When he got close to Jesus, his small stature was a barrier. Therefore, what next? He made further efforts.
He had to climb a sycamore tree, which is not easy to climb. It was indeed an effort from a man with small stature. He was desperate to have an encounter of visitation with Jesus and he had the voice of divine visitation; which he did not waste at all. He seized the moment and did not allow it to be skewed up.
As Zacchaues recognized his own season of divine visitation, every one reading today must be able to recognize their time of visitation. Or at least aim towards the dimensions with which you can provoke your own visitation. It is one thing to provoke the act of Jesus to visit you, it is another thing to actually achieve it. Amen. Are you making further efforts to reach Jesus?
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the season of express divine visitation, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for the sound of your voice of divine visitation this month, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, thank you for for locating me in my place of loneliness, in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, thank you for making my efforts to be fruitful, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, Zacchaues did not miss his time of visitation, I will not miss my moment of divine visitation, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, visit me and let me have a special testimony this month, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, look into my direction and give me an attention that will result in divine visitation, in Jesus Name.
