Matthew 14:24
“But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves : for the wind was contrary. “
The ship can symbolize the life of a man that was born well and set out in the journey of life well making progress ; and suddenly the wind of life kicks in the midst of the prime life and things begin to go contrary because of unexpected tossing circumstances of life. When life becomes dark, difficult things happen with unintended consequences.
In life, people meet with unplanned and unintended circumstances. Some lose hope while some hold on to Jesus. As a believer, and with the above Bible passage Jesus always sent the disciples on duty without checking the weather conditions and it is not strange for these disciples to meet with “storms” in the ways and lines of their respective duties. No contrary wind can ever stop Jesus saving us in any storms.
Brethren, when your life journey runs into a “storm” would you turn back or move on through it? When Jesus sent the Apostles to the shores, He knew the storm was coming. Jesus will always manifest grace to shut down the storm. He is the Master of the storm. Jesus is part of the wind and He is grace per excellence. Controller of the wind is able to calm the storm of life and take us safely to our destinations. Praise God.
