Genesis 21:17 & 19a
17) “And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.
19a) And God opened her eyes............ “
God knows exactly where you are and how to reach out by opening your heavens. The call out of heavens was to address what Hagar and Ishmael her son were going through. They were confronted with no-where to go and no-where to turn. Both of them were going through an unexpected and unprecedented circumstances of life whereby the earthly father forsook them and could no longer take up his responsibility, but God took up their cases us. Psalms 27:10 refers.
God does not turn away even when every one does. It is the time for us to know that any one however close to us can turn away from us in any circumstances. If Abraham : in the Bible days had to send away his own off spring, because his wife could not put up with a teenager’s attitude, it should not surprise us if it happens in our generation. However, God is always ready to put up with us and give us another chance.
God saw how bad the circumstances were for both Hagar and Ishmael and he caused the angel from heaven to speak and open the eyes of Hagar to discover a source of survival and existence. Hagar sorrowed and the boy cried and heavens opened to them at the right time. God that showed up for Hagar in the wilderness will show up for you in your own “wilderness”, in Jesus Name. Cry to God and HE will hear your voice. HE is nearer to you more than you can imagine. Praise God. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for open heavens that will address the concerns of my life, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, let every source of closed heavens expire in my life, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, open my heavens and let my joy be full, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, open my heavens and locate me for my time of blessings, in Jesus Name.
5) Lord, hear my cry and let my heavens open to your glory, in Jesus Name.
6) Father, you know where my shows are ailing me, open heavens for total healing, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, in my “wilderness” open the doors and windows of heaven for me and my family, in Jesus Name. Amen.
