Psalms 4:1
"Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me and hear my prayer."
Divine enlargement removes the lid of limitation from someone. It can also mean divine enrichment or endowment. Whatever miracles of enlargement God has released on others is a indication that He can also release your unique enlargement into your life. If God could enlarge the Psalmist in distress, He is more than able to enlarge you in whatever may represent your distress!
Divine enlargement only comes from the Lord. God is always ready to give you what belongs to you, whereas man is always ready to take away what belongs to you. The Psalmist embraced the culture of prayer more even when things are going good. He realized that it was in times of distress that God increased and blessed him more. In and out of season, he always called on God and God answered him.
Distress comes and goes throughout everyone’s life. As Christians, we should not throw in the towel when distress comes. In times of distress, brace up and get closer to God. The closer you are to God, the further you are away from the negative effects of distress . God is able to turn your distress to strength. It was in distress that the Psalmist became enlarged. It was in distress that Hannah went to Shiloh and she came out of Shiloh increased. Approach God with a sincere heart and have absolute trust and confidence in HIM.
