Luke 7:16
“And there came a fear on all : and they glorified God, saying That a great Prophet is risen up among us; and. That God Hath visited His people.”
Divine visitation of God in the Bible days is still possible in our days. God can visit people in various ways HE chooses. The way God Visits His people will always be different with the way HE Visits “Others”. If it is written of His people, it means that there are those who are not His people; who He May Visit or not visit. When God visits His people, they never remain the same again. Amen.
Why did fear come on all the people? It was because a tragedy of death was reversed to become a triumph of joy. Jesus showed up and Had compassion on the widow who lost her only son. Jesus ( HE ) stopped her sorrow and gave her unexpected and unspeakable joy she needed. What was about to define her and seal up her destiny; was used by Jesus to refine and gave her a brand new beginning and by that the day was declared as a day “that a great Prophet Had indeed risen up among them” ; and That God Hath visited His people” When God visits there will be absolute evidence. Amen.
Are you part of His people? Do you belong to Him? Do you identify with HIM? Does God know you as HIS own? Jesus is still passing by among us. HE is looking for broken hearted people. He is prepared to pay attention to your needs. He is looking for the weak in spirit to strengthen them. Jesus is our High Priest. He is aware of our pains and sorrows. He cares. He visits and is able to reverse the irreversible. Amen.
