Ecclesiastes 9:8
"Let thy garment be always white and let thy head lack no ointment"
The book of Ecclesiastes was written when King Solomon was in his middle age. At this time, he had realized that time had passed and it dawned on him to try to regain it, but it was a little too late with all the strange women that surrounded him. At the end of his life, he was regarded as a partially good king in Israel.
However, the main point this morning is the admonition that our garments should always be white. He was requesting us to have clean hearts in everything we do. Also, he wanted us to be under permanent anointing so that we can continue to live under the divine influence of the Almighty God.
In those good old Bible days, white garment meant holiness all over, in and out of season, and it meant that you can be trusted. In our today’s dispensation, it means a different thing. However, in all generations; the scenario is constant that we need clean hands and hearts to be able to operate under heavy anointing. Let us surrender it all to God. Seek HIM in Spirit and truth with clean conscience. There is judgment at the end of it all. The Kingdom of God is big enough to include you and I. Praise God. Amen.
