Psalm 40:2-4
“He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord."
New song is about our Redeemer who works the work of our redemption. A new song follows deliverance from horrible pit and miry clay. To be inside of clay is not fun. It is messy, slippery and could be very discomforting not only to the feet but to the whole body. The experience in the wilderness is close to what people experience in the miry clay. The situation in the miry clay is diminishing to life.
The longer people remain in the miry clay, the deeper they sink, unable to help or save themselves except someone rescue them. People in the miry clay cannot be champions and cannot help themselves however powerful they may be. They always depend on someone to come and take them out.
No man can take any man out of the miry claim, but God can. Our God is more than able in all things. He is the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent One. The intention of man is to see you remain in the pit and even in the miry clay, but God has a different agenda for you, wherever and whatever may be going on today. Seek the face of God. Sing a new Song to show your total dependence on God. Do not allow the devil to define you and your destiny. Refuse all suggestions outside the will of God. Take stand with God, and God will take stand with you. If you cannot sing a new song now, begin to research one and sing unto the goodness of God in advance. God responds in and out of seasons to singers of new songs. Arise and begin to sing today. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for your unfailing love over my life, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, thank you for the new month, because you will give me and my household a new song to sing, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, I need a new song to sing this month in my life, in Jesus Name.
4) Almighty God, let your glory shine over all my life, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, have your way in all my wilderness experience, in Jesus Mighty Name.
6) Lord, fight all my battles and give me new songs to sing in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, let new song come into my mouth naturally, in Jesus Name Amen.
