2 Corinthians 6:13
"Now for a recompense in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged"
To enlarge is to make big, and to also increase and grow. That is the all-round wish of God for all of us. The fact that some people are blessed and enlarged is a revelation that we as children of God can also be enlarged and be blessed. Hence, Paul the apostle admonished the Christians in Corinth also to “be ye also enlarged”.
Paul wanted the people to key into the promises and plans of God and he encouraged them to make a u-turn from all the consciousness and contentment of their small size. Paul also encouraged them that they must first seek for satisfaction of spiritual needs rather than the physical needs because Jesus had also promised to supply all or needs accordingly including all (both spiritual and physical needs).
We should not limit ourselves by being small-minded. However, let us not be carnal as well for not all that is big to the eyes on the outside is big inside. You can be small in the eyes of the world but big in the eyes of God. Ask the mercy and the grace of God to remove every lid of limitation that is not allowing the overflowing and out flowing Spirit of God in our lives. Also, Jesus spoke in John 7:38 “He that believeth on me, as the scriptures hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of the living water”. That shows a believer must have enough to release and spread the good news of salvation. Do not be a container. Be a vessel that collects and releases. Vessels move but containers contain and are used for storage whereas vessels are used to supply. Praise God!
Prayer points for the day
- 1) Father, choose me as your instrument of blessing to the whole world, in Jesus Name.
- 2) Lord, bless them that bless me, in Jesus Name.
- 3) Lord, take me far away from any one that would curse me, in Jesus Name.
- 4) Lord, guide my life and let me make it to your kingdom, in Jesus Name.
- 5) Father, make a way for a blessing that would not add any sorrow into my life, in Jesus Name.
- 6) Father, give me the heart to live my life in total obedience to your commands, in Jesus Name.
- 7) Lord, as this year is progressing, let my blessings progress, in Jesus Name.
- 8) Almighty God, I am ready for an uncommon blessing that all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
