Philippians 2: 7-10
7 "But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.
8 - And being found in the fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death on the cross.
9- Wherefore God Hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name.
10- That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;"
The final part of the series rests on OBEDIENCE. Not many people love to obey. Probably, obedience seems inconveniencing to them. If we can make ourselves to be of no reputation and serve mankind by serving God. Humble ourselves without being pushed; obedience will not be too hard for us.
What is obedience?. It simply means doing the will of God, in all circumstances. The will of God may be costly, but is always beneficial to the doers. Obedience is the fastest way of accessing the power of the GLORY OF GOD. The space for this devotional cannot accommodate the extent of the potency of God’s GLORY.
People that are great today and in the past have record of obedience in their books of remembrance. If you want to be great for the future; obedience must be one of your attributes, especially to the word and the Kingdom of God. Abraham obeyed God, and it was not only counted for him in righteousness, but God sworn blessing upon him and his generations yet to come (descendants). Be obedient for the sake of yourselves and your descendants. The way to obey is to yield to the word of God when it is not convenient or seemingly unreasonable. Please note that God honors obedience and your obedience cannot disappoint God. AMEN!!!!
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for another end of the week of this new month of divine lifting, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, thank you for the journey, so far in my life and this year so far, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, grant me the grace to obey you in all circumstances, in Jesus Name. Amen.
4) Father, let me humble myself in all positions of greatness you have for me, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, this month of May 2016, lift me beyond the level I can imagine, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, lift me up and let the world know that you are the lifter of my head, in Jesus Name.
7) Almighty God, give me the spirit to obey your word till the end, in Jesus Name. Amen.
