Matthew 6:13
"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the Kingdom, and power and the glory, forever. Amen"
As this year is running to an end, it is necessary to remind us of the journey so far and so deep into the year. Praise God that we have been brought thus far in 2013. In about 48 hours, the New Year 2014 would be here with us. God has been so good and his mercies are new every single day. “But God would deliver all of us”
The above passage is the last verse of the prayer that Jesus taught His followers how to pray. The bible scholars have said that the Lord’s Prayer is just the beginning of how to learn to pray, it is the basic starting point of how to pray. It starts with Hallowing the Holy Name of our Father in heaven. Precisely, “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name” teaches us to reverend the Father at any time we pray.
This is to allow us to step up our prayer life and point all our prayer needs to the Father. He would not lead us into temptation, and surely deliver us from all evil, if we can call on Him daily. There is a verse that in the Lord’s Prayer that says “Give us this day our daily bread”. To secure daily bread we go to work everyday, therefore, we must call on the provider of the work on daily basis. Our Father controls the Kingdom of the universe. The power and the glory of the Kingdom belong to Him. He knows how to deliver us. PRAISE HIM!!!!!
Prayer points for the day
Have a blessed and wonderful day!
