Leviticus 19:18
“Thou shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself : I am the Lord.”
God is love and love is God. Love is one of the oldest habits of God. He founded the earth based on love. He saved the dying world by love. As true child of God, you must know that love plays a giant role in the blessings of God you have to enjoy. His attitude is love and He demonstrated love by loving us first. He therefore wants us to love our neighbors, no matter what!. Good rewards await people that love God’s ways, not in their own ways and terms. Love can at times be very inconvenient but we must love, love and love God’s way. Amen.
Love in God’s way does not count the efforts, time or whether others are good or bad. We ourselves do not deserve love of God, but because of God’s loving kindness, mercy and providence upon us. He loves us. Therefore, why should we not love others? Love that is grounded does not avenge or grudges.
Brethren, check out your love box. Is it full or empty? Have you forgotten that what is still keeping you/me/us alive till today is God’s unflinching love for you and me/us. When God commands us to love our neighbor, we should comply and wait on God for a loving reward. When you love God’s way you will also be loved God’s way. Amen.
