1 Samuel 17:34-35
"And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock. 35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth : and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard , and smote him, and slew him"
David spoke out confidently regarding his destiny -” ……..I went out after him and smote him………”. He did not allow Saul or any of his senior brothers to stop him towards God’s ordained plan and destiny. Saul unknowingly attempted to divert the destiny of David by saying – “Thou art but a youth…. ” in verse 33. A youth never in any war, but whose God Has ordained to go into war because of his destiny.
At times, wars and battles may precede the fulfillment of our destiny. Never lose hope. The God of your destiny is always with you. As long as God is in that process it would be an easy go for the war first and then your destiny. For David, the battle against the lions and bears and then Goliath as part of his roads to fulfilling his destiny.
David was not ashamed to tell the people his story how he encountered the lion and the bear. The grace to conquer the lion and bear rubbed on him to face his Goliath. The battle against Goliath was like a barrier towards meeting up with destiny, but God was with David. No lions, no bears and no Goliath can stop your destiny because God is always in it. Put God first in every endeavor and your destiny shall be fulfilled, in Jesus Name. Amen.
