1 John 3:11
"For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another"
God wants our foundation of Christianity to be of pure love for one another; both lovable and unlovable. This is the kind of love that God requires.
At the beginning of our new life, we heard the message of Jesus’s love. Love that is sacrificial and pure. Love that is from everlasting to everlasting.
It was the love from the beginning that God continued with us and HE is still loving us never tired till now. Loving us is the heart-beat of God right from the beginning.
God expressed HIS love for our first parents Adam and Eve, until the devil sold conspiracy theories to them about God’s love.
God loves them (Adam and Eve), despite the lies of the devil; but love prevailed. Love from God is powerful to repair and restructure relationships with God/man.
Maintaining relationship either with God and /or man should be deliberate. Relationship does not just happen with success. People involved in love have to work love out.
If we allow pure love to rule in relationships, there will be peace in the world. Love from the beginning is the love message we heard, at our new births. We are admonished to walk in such ‘early message’ love.
Love can be used as a ‘weapon’ to attract one to another even in worst case scenarios. Loving is great but love itself is the greatest. Know how to love and align yourself with loving the way God loves.
Be alert to love as we have learnt and still learning. St. valentine’s type of love is what God wants. How do we always express love to people? Apply the early love message.
It is type of love that can handle difficult situations. Love that does not fail. not as man would love. Man’s love can fail. All the time man says I do, it will be ‘I do’ if ‘you do’.
That was not the early love message example. Brethren, Let God be in the way you love and let go of any hatred for mankind. God loves pure lovers not polluted love. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the early message of love for us, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, give me the grace to love the way of St. Valentine loved, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, let me receive your love every season I find myself, in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, do not let the conspiracies of the devil rule over me, in Jesus Name.
5) Lord, let my foundation of love become stronger more for you, in Jesus Name.
6) Father, I surrender, let your love stand for me for ever, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, keep me going with love for others no mater what, in Jesus Name. Amen.
