Genesis 32:24-26
"And Jacob was left alone: and there wrestled with a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me."
Every divine encounter is always life changing. In Genesis 27:1, Patriarch Abraham had encounter with the Lord and the rest is history today. It was a divine encounter that changed him from a fatherless man to the father of nations. This process started with a covenant.
Father Abraham; the grandfather of Jacob was about 90 years when the Lord decided to visit him in a special way. God waited till His own time to perfect His own will for His own. The Lord did not appear to him early in his age but at 90. It was never a mistake. God wanted to prove Himself in the life of Abraham and He did. It was a divine encounter for a divine plan.
The way God encountered Abraham was different from that of Isaac and Jacob. Jacob experienced a violent divine encounter for his total victory. Your life may be going through a rough season right now in any sort of an encounter, but it will only result for you in victory. Praise God. It resulted for victory in the case of the patriarchs and it will for you as a child of God, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the gift of my life and health for another day, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for your power in my daily life and living, in Jesus Name.
3) Almighty God, let me encounter the power of God on daily basis to sin no more, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, crown me with your garment of righteousness, in Jesus Name. Amen.
5) Lord, let my life move from victory to victory of divine encounter, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, chose me and my family for life changing divine encounter, in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, let me have an encounter that will glorify and advertise your name, in Jesus Name. Amen.
