Genesis 32:24-26
"And Jacob was left alone: and there wrestled with a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me."
The wrestle Jacob had was basically as a result of him being alone with God; and until one gets to the point of wrestling, struggling or crossroad of life, etc, there may not be a divine encounter which will bring a definite turn around and indeed the much needed change in his name and entire life.
God recognized people that can stand alone before HIM in prayers and supplications. However, divine encounters vary from individual to individual and circumstances to circumstances. God mighty decide to deal with individuals with nothing but to specially encounter them.
Jacob’s divine encounter was on point as God wanted to make his name a reference in the scriptures like all others. Hannah had encounter at Shiloh with her intense prayers that was misinterpreted. Shiloh became her means of an encounter and the story of her life changed. Every life changing encounter will surely come with a story, but will end up in God’s glory. Whatever the story of your life today, an encounter with the divine can move you from a dead end to a brand new beginning. The process of a divine encounter starts with pains but always end with gains. This theme will not expire until a reader or some readers will experience God in an encounter, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for another loving day in thy presence, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, thank you for the blessing of another great day, before you, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, let the power of divine encounter arise for me and my family, in Jesus Name.
4) Almighty God, every placard of NO raised against my progress and destiny must be roasted into ashes in Jesus Name.
5) Father, replace every placard of NO with divine placard of YES in my destiny, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, from today, take me from an encounter of stagnation to an encounter of breakthrough, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, let every power monitoring my season of encounter to the next level cease, in Jesus Name.
