Luke 7:47
KJV
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much : but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.”
NLT
I tell you, her sins- and they are many - have been forgiven, so much she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.”
Love is allowed to be much and our Lord Jesus recognized it in the above passage. The love the woman did was that no one gave Jesus water to wash his feet coming in from outside, but the woman cried so much that her tears were much to wash the feet of Jesus. The tears became the purpose of worship and showing love to Jesus.
How much “tears” have you shed in love to be enough to wash the feet of Jesus. We know that Jesus is not here with us, but there are many things that represent the feet of Jesus which you can wash with your “tears”. There are “feet” in the things of God that requires your washing. Her tears was eventually turned to loving Jesus.
The woman identified that the feet of Jesus needed to be washed and she responded properly. What is it that must be washed where you worship? You have all it requires to wash the “feet” of Jesus. Rise to the occasion and let Jesus know your attention for his love. There is much love in your power to use for the sake of Jesus. Amen.
