Philippians 2: 7-10
7 "But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.
8 - And being found in the fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death on the cross.
9- Wherefore God Hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name.
10- That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;"
To recap yesterday’s reflection ; Jesus emptied Himself completely of all His reputation and nothing stood between Him and God. He stripped Himself of all the power, rights and dignity. God’s only response was to add more unto Jesus, by lifting HIM to have authority over things in heaven, earth and under the earth.
Jesus also chose to be a servant of the world. His services to mankind were free of charge. He did the will of His father, healing and setting free the captives. He went all about where God sent Him and doing the goodness of God.
To receive divine lifting, we must set aside our reputation and take up the form of a servant; and then God will add more unto us. God resists prideful heart and spirit and Gives more grace to the humble at heart. Pure and undiluted humility are the ingredients for God’s divine lifting. Jesus served according to the will of God till the end ; even with His life. What is our service to Jesus and God like these days? Praise God.
