Malachi 2:2
“If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart , to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. "
The above starts with admonition to keep in heart and bless God, for what HE Has spoken concerning giving Him glory; for us to understand. By giving the honor and glory that are due to the Name of the Lord. God warned about the action to be taken and one already taken. Blessings may be withheld and existing blessings may become worthless because of ingratitude to God.
We are so much used to the blessings of God and many of us take them for granted. Sleeping peacefully and waking up peacefully are some of the blessings we take for granted. So when there is no more flow of blessings people may backslide and lose focus of eternity. The important thing for us is to lay it to our heart to hearken to God and glorify his name as the sources of our blessings. By so doing, our existing blessing could be preserved and new blessings will keep rolling in, in Jesus Name. Amen.
God responds fast to our gratitude more than complaints. When there is no sunshine, let us praise God, when it is cold, let us praise God. When we hear the birds singing songs, let us praise God, when there is plenty, let us praise God ; and when there is scarcity let us praise God. Positive attitude of gratitude will make us to enjoy our existing blessings to be protected and have more blessings. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for not turning my blessing to become a curse, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, every blessing I have will be to your glory, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, thank you for laying it into my heart to give you glory, all the time for the blessings of my life, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, thank you in advance for giving me all round blessing, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, help my life not to abuse the blessings you have given to me, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, everyday of my life, I appreciate all the blessings you have given me and my family, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, thank you for the gift of life and the grace to be alive in good health, in Jesus Name. Amen.
