Matthew 14:24
“But the ship was now in the middle of the sea, tossed with waves : for the wind was contrary.”
There was no going back for the disciples because they were already in the middle of the high seas on errand for Jesus. After the take off, they were cruising well until the winds became contrary. The winds came to disrupt divine assignments or to slow them down. Still they pressed forward in the midst of the troubled waters. They had grace to continue in the tossing of the wind.
The Apostles looked at the storms in the present and not looking the future. The storms may look like the end but it was yet the beginning for them. As strong as the storm was, it surrendered to the presence of Jesus. May the storms of our lives surrender to the Name and presence of Jesus.
The wind is part of life and it will continue to blow, though, you are not the one that caused it to blow. No matter where the direction of the wind is tossing one in life, focus on Jesus ; the Author and Finisher of our Faith. He will not allow you and I to be blown down and out. The question today, is ; do you have a kind of relationship that will make Jesus to stand for you in the contrary wind? It is not too late to develop a new relationship with Jesus. HE is waiting with His Hands wide open. Amen.
