Romans 8:35
"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Distress is another issue of life that might cause many Christians set backs from beholding and displaying the love of Christ. The good news is that distress is never permanent. It comes and goes, but the love of Christ is for ever ; and changes not. The love of Christ endures from past eternity, to present and future eternity.
Indeed Apostle Paul was in distress. He experienced serious persecutions for the sake of the love for gospel in Rome, Corinth, Ephesus, Galatia, etc; but no amount of distress could change his mind from loving Christ. He said in one of his teachings that he was down but not out, because of the power of the love of Christ behind him.
The consolation today is that no matter the affliction and distress, the grace of God is always on point. The Spirit of God’s grace is always overflowing, to strengthen us no matter the stress. Jesus finished the cause of all distress on the cross. Distress and stress can only be taken away in the strength that is present in the love of Jesus. Look unto Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of your faith. Take your stand in the inseparable love for Christ and you will surely make the difference.
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!
