Romans 4:16
"Therefore, it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end of the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all"
When ever the word of God starts with “therefore or behold” it appears that God is seeking for our attention. God promised Abraham to be the father of all nations when all facts were against him to even be a father of one child. The promise was released and Abraham walked in the promise till the end. By this devotional today, God is asking you, how are you walking in the promises of God? With faith or with doubts? What have you ever done in faith?
Faith has power enough to work with God’s promise and take it to fruition. We have the Almighty God who promises and who ensures that the end of the promises are fulfilled. The faith of Abraham was exercised in the Old Testament but still had relevance in the New Testament and to our generation. Abraham became the reference point of a great faith and it was counted for him as righteousness.
Faith is agreement with God promises. When we agree with the word of God, it is easy for us to stand in faith. Abraham stood firm in faith. He hoped in God to see the end of the promise of God and he became what God had promised him many years ago. Stand in the promise. Do not back down. Refuse to join in the worldly debate against faith. We are serving a faithful God who never fails. Amen.
