Luke 10:19
KJV
"Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy : and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
NLT
"Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you".
Power and authority can be used interchangeably. Usually, where there is authority there is power and where there is power there is authority. Amen. The Above Bible passage refers to the time Jesus was conferring authority upon the disciples and wanted them to use their delegated authorities whenever they faced difficult situations and challenges and live daily in victory over the power of the enemy. Amen.
Jesus was specific and thereby specially invited our attention to the fact that authority had been released for us to advance the kingdom further during His presence, because they will need authority to operate before His second return to us. The kingdom has suffered major set backs because we have not taken and not been using the given authority.
What happens to delegated authority given and not used? It is either remains fallow or taken away. Usually, it is taken away, because there are others in waiting. Therefore, seek first the kingdom. Focus on Jesus and you will get authority. Focus your authority on your healing not sickness. Focus on success and not on failure. Take authority, in Jesus Name. Speak authoritatively, in Jesus Name.
