“LOVING GOD”

Mark 12:30

"And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength : this is the first commandment."

The above passage is the recipe given by Jesus regarding the cycle of love. Without doubt, our God is all loving God. Love is one of God’s greatest attributes. He is loving us without limits, as He has loved us in the past. Our weaknesses’ and strengths do not matter in the way God loves us. We are able to go about with His love and live our lives because of His love. With God, it is always love galore!

With the admonition of our Lord Jesus Christ, love has to be there as every day affairs. The absence of love might mean the absence of God, because we all know that God is love. To love God that we cannot see, we must first love the people around us that we can see. We should not love in pretense. We must demonstrate love, show love, and prove love.

Brethren, for love to be real, it must be as the above passage has put it. Real love must be shed from our heart, soul and mind, putting all we have to the test of unconditional and functional love. Platonic love has been pushed behind the burner and disappeared from us and have started to embrace love as the world takes love. Now people can no longer understand real love. Give love freely. Do not expect any returns. Love the unlovable. Love the toxic. Give a real smile today. Do good to someone that you do not know. Do good without announcement. Let us emulate and exude love to others just as God so faithfully loves us.

Prayer points for the day

• 1) Father, thank you that my household and myself are witnessing another beautiful day in your presence, in Jesus Name.
• 2) Lord, thank you for all you unconditional love for me and my family despite our shortcomings.
• 3) Lord, let love of God emanate from my heart to the people regardless their status, in Jesus Name.
• 4) Lord, give me the grace to cover all wrongs never to be opened again, in Jesus Name.
• 5) Lord, let this year speak favor all the way to the end for me and my household,  in Jesus Name.
• 6) Father, give me the grace to let go all wrongs with love unspeakable, in Jesus Name.
• 7) Almighty God, open the doors of unconditional love for me and my household, in Jesus Name. Amen.
