Colossians 2:15
KJV
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, He (Jesus) made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
NLT
“In this way, HE (Jesus) disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross”
The message of the cross had given believers hope of victory over every contrary power against us and the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all the unwarranted persecutions and false accusations, Jesus triumphed at last. His victory was over all of the adversaries of the cross who gathered to witness the extent of the crucification.
The victory started with what looked like a defeat, from the persecution to his crucification; but with Jesus, it was never over until God Says it is over. He endured the process of the cross and was able to withstand all all the humiliations meted to HIM on the cross. The cross was actually not a place of failure or defeat, it was a place of total victory over sin, satan and death. Amen.
Is there anything looking like difficult or failure in your family today? Look unto Jesus who is our example. Such issues shall turn to total victory. How did Jesus come out with so much of victory? HE surrendered to the will of God ; and if you are reading today and can surrender to God’s will today, victory is around the corner for you in Jesus Name. Amen.
