2 Corinthians 4:8-9
8) "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed ; we are perplexed, but not in despair ; 9) Persecuted, but not forsaken ; cast down, but not destroyed;"
Persecution is not too easy to face and for Paul to say that in his persecution, he was not forsaken meant a great victory over persecution. As believers and followers of Jesus, we could be persecuted in many ways and we should know that victory is sure ahead of us if we know that we are not forsaken by our creator.
The mind-set of not been forsaken became the source of victory for Paul. With that divine mind-set, he could not be overtaken or overwhelmed by the persecution. After persecution, he was cast into the prison and he began to write some of the epistles to the Philippians. In fact, Paul had his best of times any time he was in prison with the power of God. He did not lose his senses of bearing to his persecutions. He counted them all joy and glory unto the Lord. Amen.
Brethren, let us keep standing and do not allow troubles and persecutions to rob us of the divine victory that is assured from the Lord. Keep standing with the Lord and you will never ever lose your victory. One day of divine victory is able wipe away many years of sorrow. It has happened before when victory turned the subordinate to become the boss. Divine victory will come your ways for the rest of your life, in Jesus Name. Amen.
