“RECEIVE THE PROMISE”

Hebrews 10: 36

"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise"

The Bible passage is pretty much straight forward in that God has His will, plan and purpose for everyone. To receive the promise of God, there is need for a waiting period of patience after you have done the will of God, then the promise will surely come through. God is not like man that can fail.

Jesus Christ should be our example. Against all odds he confronted in His life, all He emphasized and focused on was the will of God. He did the will of God in all things even during persecution and to the cross.

On the cross, though Jesus felt the pain, He still counted it the will of God. What is it that represents your own cross today? Be patient. It is the will of God. God is aware of your cross and would pull you through. The cross was just the beginning for Jesus, it was not the end. The rest is Biblical history today. No one knows the pains of your  “cross” but Jesus. He was there before. He will help you through it, but only if you can hold on steadfastly unto HIM in truth and in patience, having done the will of God.
