Psalms 51:12
"Restore unto me the joy of my salvation; and uphold me with thy free Spirit"
There is joy in our salvation and there is also salvation in our joy. Either of them should not be lost in the life of a child of God. The two free blessings go with the Spirit of God. Without the Spirit of God, there will be no joy or salvation. King David enjoyed the free Spirit amidst joy, victory, favor and salvation, until he made a bad choice of getting involved with lady Bath-Sheba. Still God so much loved King David that He sent His prophet (Nathan) to confront King David regarding his bad choice.
David cried to God before he was actually cast away from the presence of God, He also noticed that the Holy Spirit of God was no longer working in him as it use to. Consequently, David noticed that his joy of Salvation had been impaired due to what happened between him and lady Bath Sheba. He was quick to note that he needed to ask God for forgiveness and restoration and after realizing his errors he repented. He noticed that he almost lost his relationship of joy and salvation of the Lord so he made a deep and pertinent cry to God for restoration and God answered.
Brethren, how far have you gone in your bad choices today that you think God will not listen to your cry. Make a specific cry to God for restoration. Stop the sin. As long as God restored King David, because of his faith in divine restoration, you too can be restored. God restores those that have faith in restoration. God honors faith and faith honors God.
