“SCOFFERS OF THE LAST DAYS”

2 Peter 3:3

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts"

The Psalmist mentioned about the scornful in chapter one to be in the category of the ungodly, and here Apostle Peter comes with the end time scoffers, which are also ungodly. Peter was bringing into remembrance for us that of indeed, JESUS will be coming back, however, no one knows the date and time except our Father in heaven who is in control of the universe. “THE STAGE IS ALL SET AND THE HANDWRITING IS ALL OVER”

How do we discover the scoffers? The Bible passage above clearly stated it that they are lustful, seeking their own ways and no other ways, even not the way of Jesus. They have certain ways they go about worshipping Jesus and understanding the gospel. They are Christians and seem to flow well with others, but have their own agenda. Putting it straight as Peter – They are walking after their own lusts. It is always about them and no one else.

As long as we have the grace to wake up this morning, there is still time to come into repentance and terms with JESUS. God the father does not want any one of us to perish, even those scoffers and scornful.  Let us not follow their ways. We have to be on the right side of the Lord’s equation not to be like them and renew our minds by the day. Remember, Jesus is coming back, because the last days are already here with us!

Prayer points for the day

• 1) Father, thank you for the grace of another day, in Jesus Name.
• 2) Lord, thank you for the provision of life for me, in Jesus Name.
• 3) Almighty God, have your ways in all my ways and keep me and my household safe from all calamities, in Jesus Name.
• 4) Father, give me the Holy Spirit of Revelation and relationship with you/from you in Jesus Name.
• 5) Lord, deliver me from all my adversaries, known and unknown in Jesus Name.
• 6) Father, make a way for me in my family in our wilderness, in Jesus Name.
• 7) Almighty God, give me strength to worship you till the end, in Jesus Name. Amen.
