“TEMPERATE IN ALL THINGS”

1 Corinthians 9:25

"And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown ; but we an incorruptible crown"

Temperance is to be gentle and calm in all situations with the knowledge that God Almighty is always in control. To be temperate in all things actually makes things work together very easy for those that seek the perfection of God. Temperance is the nature of God and He has given it to Jesus and Jesus has passed it over to us ; as an integral part of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Paul the Apostle is admonishing us this morning to be temperate in all things. Not to be like the people in the world that demonstrate temperance to win cheap corruptible honor and recognition; after which they go back to the old man, but ours is incorruptible.

Cheap honor and recognition will soon be corrupted by the manifestation of the world. With Jesus and as Christians we can handle honor and greatness with temperance. It is part of all things. God does not plan to leave any one behind. It is God’s plan and purposes to bless, honor and recognize your being. God knows exactly where you are in life. God will help you to be temperate. He knows how to correct and rebuild your nature. He is the Potter and we are the clay. Seek God in earnest and be humble. Humility is the beginning of temperance; not age, position, riches or poverty? Turn a new leaf by the power of the Holy Spirit. Work out your salvation as if you carry an egg on a small tea spoon (fear and trembling ). The days are evil and the devil is fighting around to destroy destiny of people by all means. Why, because the days of the devil are fast running out. Be sober, watchful and vigilant.
