Hebrews 9:1
"The verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service and a worldly sanctuary."
If there has been the first covenant then it goes to say that there is another covenant that ranks second. Actually, the first covenant got to the peak into the second, because we as human beings, could no longer handle and satisfy the obligations and requirements of the divine services that come along with it. The blessing under the first covenant requires obligation to enjoy or else it will be passed to another generation. According to God, His covenant stands for ever.
Noah found grace with God and was favored with the covenant of protection and preservation to keep the earth going after the flood. With the first covenant not every one received forgiveness, but the direct family of Noah; who also messed up later. The first covenant had a worldly sanctuary in the middle of divine service and provision. This worldly sanctuary messed up the divine part of the covenant.
The second covenant is Jesus centered and for us. Every one that knows Jesus as Lord and personal savior is saved and forgiven. The divine service overwhelmed the worldly sanctuary that goes with any thing. God sent Jesus to satisfy the obligation of the new covenant because we cannot humanly handle the required of the old. Let us embrace the new covenant and look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the grace to be under your new covenant, in Jesus Name.
2) Lord, by the power of the new covenant count me and family worthy, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, thank you that me and my family are covered under the new covenant in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, as this month of divine covenant is progressing, let me and my family progress according to the new covenant in Jesus Name.
5) Father, let the covenant of grace begin to flow from my family, in Jesus Name.
6) Lord, help me not to mess up my covenant with you, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, establish my new covenant according thy will, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
