Exodus 15:26
"And said, "If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
I always wondered why the people in the Bible days lived longer than the people in our current generation. Apart from all the pollution of our environment and all the consequences of artificial consumption etc, we do not diligently hearken talk less of diligently listening to the voice of God. We also do not diligently do the will of God.
God gave the commandments for our benefit and also gave us His statue laws for some reasons. The main reason as regards the statement by God the father in Exodus 15 is because He wanted us to be in good health without diseases, which were commonly known amongst the Egyptians. The Israelites were eating manna that was divinely prepared to give them good health. When they were eating the manna there was no snake bites, until they complained and the manna stopped.
God knew very well from the beginning and from His sovereign experience with us that as human beings we may not be able to comply with all the laws as the Egyptians had demonstrated. We are not better than the Egyptians. God was the creator of both the Israelites and the Egyptians, but the Egyptians always obeyed their leaders more than their creator. They worshiped the creatures created by the Sovereign God rather than the creator Himself. Therefore, God sent His only begotten Son, to take all our sins, sicknesses and shame on the cross. He wanted us to worship Him through Jesus Christ and have good lives, because the grace He bestowed on Jesus just for our sake. Let us call on God desperately for forgiveness; sin no more so that worst things would not come upon us. John 5:14 refers. God heals without side effects. Amen. Just believe and you too can be healed!
Prayer points for the day
- 1) Lord, give me the grace to be diligent in all the areas of my life, spiritual and otherwise, in Jesus Name.
- 2) Lord, thank you for the journey this year so far, in Jesus Name.
- 3) Almighty God, have mercy upon me and my household and preserve us till the end, in Jesus Name.
- 4) Lord, help me and let me continue to see thy glory, in Jesus Name.
- 5) Father, have your way in my life and my entire household, in Jesus Name.
- 6) Lord, let me and my household be under the banner of your divine health, in Jesus Name.
- 7) Father, preserve me and my household until the end so that your grace would not be in vain on us, in Jesus Name. Amen.
- 8) Father, teach my heart to be diligent in all that I do, in Jesus Name. Amen.
- 9) Father, give me the grace to always do that which is right in thy sight, in Jesus Name. Amen.
- 10) Father, whenever you speak, let me hear you clearly, in Jesus Name. Amen.
- 11) Let there be miracles of amazing healing in my family before the end of this year, in Jesus Name. Amen.
- 12) Lord, I am desperate for your healing that have no side effects, heal me, in Jesus Name.
