Mark 9:21-24
"And He (Jesus) asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. 22) And often times it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us , and help us. 23) Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believe that. 24) And straight away the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe ; help thou my unbelief"
The above referenced passages have to be long as long as this series will go. “The power of faith” Hearing the word of God is the beginning of faith. Many heard the word and do not hold it. The next step to hearing is believing. When we believe the word of a God it turns into having faith in the word and the word will become power to do anything for us and in us.
Seeking Jesus in earnest will make us to hear the word. Jesus always speak with faith and power from HIS Heavenly Father always followed HIS faith. The above passages show the case of a man that was desperate to have the attention of Jesus for healing and he got it for his child.
Jesus spoke to the above age long situation in a powerful way to test the faith of the father and in this case the father was able to pass the test of faith. This man was a blessed man in one way or the other. When you are blessed you will be tested. During the season of our tests let us have faith in God ; in all things. Jesus will hear our desperate pleas of/ for faith this mouth of June 2017 in Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Abba Father, thank you for a new day and a new dawn of faith lifting, in Jesus Name.
2) Abba Father, thank you for letting me have the faith that all my sins have been forgiven, and not to sin again, in Jesus Name. Amen.
3) Almighty God, let me begin to be amongst the just to live my life by faith, in Jesus Name.
4) Lord, let me stand before you always in faith, in Jesus Name.
5) Father, let me have faith that will see me through all things in life, in Jesus Name.
6) Father, let me have faith that will be pleasing to you, in Jesus Name.
7) Father, let me and my family begin to swim in thy divine ocean of faith till the end of age, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
