Deuteronomy 11:14
"That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine and thine oil"
The first and the latter rain are from God, under HIS divine promises and eventual fulfillment. They are meant for our blessing and increase, refreshing and reviving. The combo effect of the early and latter rain ultimately bring fruitfulness to the Glory of God. Gathering corn, wine and oil amount to good harvest. First and latter rain in due seasons bring about due preparation, planting by the first and harvesting in due seasons. No stresses and no delays and no denials. They come with ease, because God is in them.
The rain in due season does not fail, because of the power of God making it. The above bible passage relates with the mercy of God after the series of the rebellion attitudes of the Israelites. The land became as weary as the people. Dry and dying. Hard and unfruitful. Whenever there is drought the land is desolate in all things. All efforts without contrite hearts make things harder for the Israelites until they turned back to God and the mercy of God brought about the season of rain in the land. Due season is the term that cannot change when God speaks.
Any time that God makes any promises to HIS people ; they are as good as done, because there is always a divine commitment to make the promises to come to pass. His promises are real. Take God at HIS words. God is not a man. God is God of the universe. When you pray for anything prepare to receive it. Pray with expectation and raise the level of your faith. There shall be showers of blessing, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the light of another day, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, thank you for the redemption of my spirit, soul and body from sins, in Jesus Name.
3) Lord, let the promises of the showers of blessing come to pass in my life, without delays, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, increase my faith in all thy precepts in Jesus Name.
5) Almighty God, fulfill thy first and latter rain to come without hindrance, in Jesus Name.
6) Father, all that represent the gathering of my corn, wine and oil must not fail, in Jesus Name.
7) Lord, I take you at thy word of showers of blessing, let it be counted for me in righteousness, in Jesus Name. Amen.
