1 Corinthians 15:57
“But thank God! HE gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
How did the resurrection victory come to our Lord Jesus? He was chosen and sent on a specific and special assignment that could not be given to any other persons. There were tons of Patriarchs in both the Old and New Testament? Why did God have to wait till the New Testament to find a vessel of resurrection victory? What happened to all the early people, patriarchs that walked with God?
Those people of old were blessed: no doubt. They were mightily used of God. They represented God while on earth, but they could not match with the endurance, perseverance and love with which our Lord Jesus Christ lived HIS life here on earth. They were born with flesh and blood hence they had limitations that could not make them like Jesus. Man is only for yesterday and today cannot be for ever. The Bible says Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
We need not to die like Jesus did, but we must die to ourselves, to be able to live lives that will qualify for the level of choice God makes of us. We can live a resurrected life. Lives that are dead to unrighteousness and resurrected into righteousness. From darkness into marvelous light. Lives that make Jesus alone as the foundation and pillars of life. Amen.
