Numbers 14:24
"But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land wherein he went; and his seed shall possess it."
Why did God speak only about Caleb and Joshua? especially Caleb, who was mentioned with specific emphasis. The reason should not be far fetched. Caleb followed God fully. He was totally sold out to the will of God. He stood firmly upon the word of God, regardless of reports of others in majority. He took his stand and God put a great mark of affirmation of honor upon him and his generation. “Him will I into the land”………..and his seed shall possess it. Says the Lord.
To follow God fully, we as Christians must have another spirit totally different from every other persons’s doubting and contrary spirit. Doubt always forfeits the benefits arising from God’s promises. Caleb may be abandoned, or even threatened by men, but God stood with him and the rest has become history. God favored the faith of Caleb.
Where do you stand today as regards your faith? Are you leaning towards those with the majority and common spirit of doubt or towards the word of God? How do we follow God fully? Follow in truth and spirit, without dividing opinions. Follow uprightly, without disputing or declining the plans of God. There is a heavenly possession for those that followed God fully. Prayer points for the day
1) Father, thank you for the revelation about the spirit of Caleb, in Jesus Name.
2) Father, remove every flesh that will block my life from following you fully, in Jesus Name.
3) Father, deliver me from the spirit of this sinful world, in Jesus Name.
4) Father, give me the grace to follow you fully, in Jesus Name.
5) Lord, put the mark of your full honor upon my life, in Jesus Name.
6) Father, thank you for the heavenly inheritance, in Jesus Name.
7) Almighty God, I desire another spirit like that of Caleb so that I will follow you fully till the end, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
